Like You Stole It

Hi all - I’m Allison, 26 year old fitness and health (okok, sometimes junk too…) food fanatic.

I was an athletic kid growing up, always playing sports year around, meaning I could eat WHATEVER I wanted and not gain weight. Let me tell you, once I stopped working out all the time I blew up like a balloon. I think my highest weight was 180ish around highschool, and for 5’2” that didn’t exactly sit well. I tried every diet out there, including bulimia for a few years. Yum, right? Nothing works as well as being healthy and that’s what I’m all about. I’m lucky enough to have incredibly healthy parents who focus a lot on exercise (both play on competative tennis teams and my mother is also a yoga instructor), who have happened to instill those values in me. It just might have taken a few years to really have it stick.

I’ve been a pescatarian (I only eat fish) for about 6 years now and in the past few years have really gotten into running. I’ve run numerous 5ks, 2 10ks, and 2 Half Marathons. I actually ENJOY working out, feeling the burn, and waking up sore the next day! Although, I won’t lie, I also do it so I can have that giant piece of cheesecake every now and again. I’ve been a steady 135ish for the past few years and although I’d LOVE to lose a few lbs, I’m loving what my body is giving me.
